RENAL & URINARY

The renal system, or urinary tract, includes the kidneys, urethra, and bladder. It’s purpose is to eliminate waste from the body and regulate blood volume and pressure. It controls levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulates blood PH.  The system produces, stores and eliminates urine and other waste excreted by the kidneys. In general, the kidneys filter water from the blood, and stores the waste in the bladder until full. Once full, bladder muscles contract and squeeze urine out of the body through the urethra.

Signs of Optimal Health & Wellness

A healthy renal system results in:

  • Kidneys making urine without any problem, resulting in regular need to urinate throughout the day
  • Urine is clean
