As energy is generated throughout the body’s cell and various processes, the human body produces an energetic or electromagnetic field. Theories suggest there are three layers to the body’s electromagnetic and energetic fields. The outer layer, or aura, is the body’s first line of defense against energetic, mental, physical and emotional intrusions. The aura is often visible in pictures, and some people can visibly see the auras of others. In addition, the electrons or electrical energy of auras can be measured scientifically. When operating at its fullest capacity, this layer is often referred to when people say “a person has a thick skin”. The energetic layer allows negativity, disease and emotional disruptions to more easily bounce off a person, rather than getting “under their skin”.

The second layer, or chakra layer, is intertwined with the body’s emotional, mental and spiritual health. When fully functional, these chakras act like “spinning vortexes” of energy throughout the body. In philosophy, these chakras align with the colors of the rainbow, as well as the notes of the musical scale. Each chakra coincides with overall physical, mental, emotional and spiritual functioning. When fully thriving, chakras are spinning and help to ward off mental illness and disease.

The third layer, or the physical energetic system, can be fully felt throughout the body. The physical feelings of anxiety, depression, emotional fatigue, and even illness can be attributed to the body’s physical energetic system.

Signs of Optimal Health & Wellness

When the energetic and electromagnetic system is thriving, these indicators are often present:

  • A feeling of fully alive
  • A feeling of vitality and wellness
  • Ability to communicate well with others

Warning Signs

When not functioning at the highest capacity, indicators include:

  • Trouble feeling secure
  • Continuous illness
  • Prolonged mental illness
  • Continuous anxiety or depression
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Trouble communicating and expressing oneself
  • Trouble feeling connected to something bigger than oneself

Healthy eating, exercise, hydration and sleep all help to promote a fully thriving energetic system. When indicators of warning or decline are present, it can be helpful to do energetic and grounding exercises and activities such as practicing mindfulness, meditation, yoga, singing, dancing, reiki, reconnection therapy or sound healing. Often, these practices can bring the energetic and electromagnetic system back in line if there are no underlying issues that also need to be resolved. Essential oils have also been known to bring about the “symphony of the cells” by promoting energetic cleansing and clearing the senses. Protocol treatments often depend on specific ailments, and work to promote cells functioning in harmony.
